INSTAGRAM INTRODUCES NEW METHODS OF REPLYING TO STORIES
As Instagram Stories continue to develop (with over 200 million active users) the platform has now introduced new methods of replying to friends’ stories, which bypass text entirely. This update enables users to reply to stories with photos, videos or boomerangs of their own. The reply will also continue to allow stickers and text to be included in your response, helping to be clear on which part of the conversation you are responding to. This update is now available to all Instagram users.
SNAPCHAT CREATES VOICE FILTERS AND WEB LINKS
With more advance features being introduced with each update, it is no surprise that Snapchats latest update brings the best filters yet. The first new addition is the back-drop feature, essentially allowing users to transform the location of their photo and place themselves in an entirely new environment. This feature can be accessed through the scissors icon, as you remove yourself from the snap and replace the background with a pattern. Secondly, voice filters have also had a makeover as you no longer need a visual lens to change your voice. Finally, Snapchat now allows users to link snaps to other websites using the paperclip icon. This will likely be most useful for marketing purposes, however sending your friend links could make your Snapchat experience a lot more interesting!

In the ongoing battle against fake news and spam posts, Facebook have continued to work on their News Feed algorithms to remove low quality links and reduce the amount of ‘fake news’ posts becoming viral on the platform. This update was shared through Facebooks official blog, as they highlight the platforms dedication to sharing accurate information to its 2 billion users.
SPOTIFY TESTS DRIVING MODE FEATURES
According to some Reddit users, Spotify may be testing new features that could make listening on the road a lot easier. It has been reported that Android users have experienced features such as larger icons and a voice that tells listeners the name and artist of the song currently playing. Although Spotify have not officially announced any new features, they have said that they continuously test updates to the app and will sharing any news as features become more widely available.

Snapchat has introduced their most talked about feature yet, with the arrival of ‘Snap Maps’. This feature allows users to view the exact location of their friends, highlighting their bitmoji on a world map, as well as stories from events across the globe. Snapchat have faced a large amount of backlash for this new feature, as worried parents, friends with FOMO and privacy concerns have united against it. However, if you do not wish to share your location you can turn off this feature by selecting ‘ghost mode’ in your settings, meaning that you are able to see your friends location without them seeing where you are.
